10 Things to Consider When Building Your Brand

Monday, August 2, 2010

Are you looking to build your brand but don’t know where to start? Or, have you already established your brand and want to take it to the next level? Jean Hill, a communications consultant with over 20 years of integrated communications experience, will help you think about your brand and give you insight into how to develop a marketing plan that can help you reap valuable rewards.

Hill will talk about the importance of a fine-tuned positioning in differentiating and defining your brand. Whether you are interested in social media, media relations, advertising, events or direct mail, she will help you decide which form of communications will be right for you. Hill will discuss the pros and cons of each strategy and what to consider before embarking on a marketing program.

Hill has more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry, most recently serving in a business development position for a top Twin Cities law firm as well as serving in a leadership role for a national public relations firm. Throughout her career, Hill has ensured a 360° integrated branding approach to her clients’ websites, trade show initiatives, print/online advertising, sales aids, promotional collateral and direct mail. She also has used unique marketing events to launch products including a Weber-grill performance team to celebrate the summer grilling season; an 11’ x 17’ tax form to remind tax payers to sign their 1040s and a parade with grand marshal “Norm” to announce a new beer!
