About Our Speakers
Harold Taylor, CSP, president of Harold Taylor Time Consultants Inc has been speaking, writing and conducting training programs on the topic of effective time management for over 25 years. He has written 16 books, including a Canadian bestseller, Making Time Work For You. He has developed over 50 time management products that have sold in 38 countries around the world. His monthly Time Management Report has been published for twenty-five years and he has had over 300 articles accepted for publication.
A past director of the National Association of Professional Organizers, Harold received their Founder’s Award in 1999 for outstanding contributions to the organizing profession. He received the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation in 1987 from the National Speakers Association. In 1998 the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers inducted him into the Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame. And in 2001, he received the Founder’s Award from the Professional Organizers in Canada. The award has been named in his honor.
Prior to his speaking career, Harold held management positions in industry for twelve years and taught business subjects for eight years at Humber College in Toronto. He has been an entrepreneur for over thirty-five years, incorporating four companies during that time, all of which are still operating successfully. Since 1981, when he incorporated the time management company, he has presented over 2000 workshops, speeches and keynotes on the topic of time and life management.
Judith Kolberg, originally from Levittown, New York, graduated the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1975. After a decade as a political lobbyist and activist, she realized organizing principles could help achieve any of life’s goals and founded FileHeads Professional Organizers in 1989.
A member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and former president of the Georgia chapter, Kolberg received NAPO’s prestigious Founders’ Award in 1996 based on her pioneering work in chronic disorganization. She formed the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD) in 1991, served as its director for seven years, and is the author and publisher of Conquering Chronic Disorganization. The groundbreaking book ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Nadeau followed. Inspired by the events of September 11, 2001, Kolberg then wrote and published Organize for Disaster. She served as NAPO’s Director of Professional Development and is a sought-after speaker and trainer for hundreds of companies and organizations. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Jackie Moen is an organizational trainer and founder of Training Connections. Jackie specializes in strategic planning, leadership, team building, communications, and project management.
She brings over 21 years experience in organizational development to her customers and works extensively with nonprofits, health care, government and service organizations.
Jackie holds a Master’s in Management and a Bachelor’s in Education. She is President of the Cambridge Rotary Club, an active member in the Isanti and Cambridge Chambers of Commerce and enjoys spending time as a ski guide with the Blind Skier’s Association.
Susi Peterson is a dynamic, motivating speaker and consultant, as well as an experienced professional organizer. Since 1989 she has educated and inspired others with creative, practical solutions to organizing challenges.
She also provides specialized training for both new and established professional organizers. Susi has written several books, including Foolproof Filing and 117 Ways to Simplify Your Life.
She is OMI-certified, a Golden Circle member of NAPO, as well as a board member and past president of NAPO Minnesota. Susi believes we can feel better about ourselves, as well as our surroundings, by simply getting more organized.
Carole J. Hyder is an accomplished Feng Shui consultant, speaker, teacher, author and trainer. She has been a Feng Shui consultant since 1992, having studied with Professor Thomas Lin Yun and Roger Green, both master teachers in their respective philosophies of Feng Shui. She has facilitated hundreds of private residential and commercial consultations in both traditions. She is co-founder and president of the Feng Shui Institute of the Midwest, an organization dedicated to creating standards for practitioners, providing continuing education and community outreach.
Besides being published in countless publications, Carole has published two books: Wind and Water: Your Personal Feng Shui Journey and Living Feng Shui: Personal Stories. She has produced a video entitled The Science of Feng Shui: How and Why Feng Shui Works. Additionally, she has developed a six-part training program, The Wind and Water School of Feng Shui, which is now licensed by the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office. Carole also has a monthly television segment on KARE-11 Today in Minneapolis.
Currently, Carole is spending her time pursuing a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota in East Asian Studies.
Dr. Christine Hegstad is the owner of MAP, Inc., which stands for “Meaning and Purpose”. Christi’s work is founded on one concept: to help people do what they love.
Christi works with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, acdemia, health care providers and independent professionals to educate, equip and inspire people to create meaningful careers and purposeful lives. She is also the editor of the Meaning & Purpose™ newsletter.
Christi has a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in human resource development with an emphasis in training and development. Much of her research has focused on mentoring (specifically within Fortune 500 companies) and she created a model for an exemplary formal mentoring program based on her research findings.
Dr. Hegstad also has a Master’s degree in human resource management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in sociology and human services. This blend of education, along with her experience, allows her to provide services and products that meet individual needs, while taking into account the realities of today’s business world.
Christi enjoys spending time with her family, crafting (especially cross-stitching and rubber stamping), savoring a freshly-brewed cup of almond mocha, chatting with friends, and writing. One of her latest accomplishments has been running half-marathons, and she plans to eventually run a full marathon. |
